David Astorgas future engagements include Albazar in Il turco in Italia at Opera de Oviedo, Arturo in Lucia die Lammermoor, Belfiori in Viaggio a Reims and Knusperhexe at Auditorio de Tenerife, as well as Candide at Estonian National Opera.
Recently has performed Fenton at Teatro Maestranza, Alfredo, Tamino, Faust and Hoffmann at Opera de Tenerife, Don Narciso in Turco in Italia at Opera de Oviedo, Ottavio in Bucharest Opera, Opera Gala at Theater Bonn and Nemorino in Manila among others.
Most recently has performed Fenton at Teatro Principal Mahon and Palma, Nemorino at Teatro Sociale di Como and Basilio/Don Curzio at Teatro Comunale Bologna.

David Astorga was born in Costa Rica in 1988. He began his studies of music and singing at the National University of Costa Rica and then at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Belgium. After that he has followed the young artists programs of Flanders Opera in Gent and has been student of Placido Domingo for three years in his academy at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, Spain.

Astorga has colaborated with conductors like Zubin Mehta, Placido Domingo, Sigiswald Kuijken, Federico Maria Sardelli, Sebastiano Rolli among others and has sung in opera houses like Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Palau de les Arts de Valencia, Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp and Gent, Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica, Teatro Sociale di Como, Teatro Arriga de Bilbao, Teatro Principal de Palma, Teatro Principal de Mahon and Auditorio de Tenerife.
The young tenor has debuted roles like Acteon (Acteon, Charpentier),Dario (L’incoronazione di Dario, Vivaldi), Don Ramiro (La Cenerentola, Rossini), Almaviva (Il Barbiere di Siviglia , Rossini), Knusperhexe (Hansel und Gretel, Humperdinck), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Ottavia (Don Giovannni), Belmonte (Entfürung aus dem Serail, Mozart), Fenton (Falstaff, Verdi), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore, Donizetti), (Faust, Gounod) Alfredo (La Traviata, Verdi) and Javier (main tenor role of the zarzuela Luisa Fernanda), showing a truly evolution from the legero repertoire to the full lyric tenor.
