EDGARS OŠLEJA current projects include Il Talpa  and Simone in Il Tabarro and Gianni Schick at National Theater Weimar. He made his debut on the stage of the Latvian National Opera in 2015. Among the roles interpreted by the LNO are the Commendatore  in Don Giovanni, Sarastro in The Magic Flute, Reinmar von Zweter in Tannhäuser, Colline in Bohème, the Blind Man in I Play, I Dance, the manager of the madhouse in The Chronicle of Debauchery and the white priest in Turandot. In February 2020, Edgars Ošleja made his debut on the stage of the Prague National Theater Opera in the role of Colleen in the opera Bohème; he also sang there Angelotti in Tosca, Banquo in Macbeth, the high priest Nabucco and Pharaoh and Ramfis in Aida. Edgars Ošleja has participated in academic music concerts at Sigulda Opera Music Festival, Riga Latvian Society House, Riga Anglican Church and other places. He sang the bass solo in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony accompanied by the Prague Opera Orchestra. Participated in the premiere of I. Kalniņš’s opera Matīss, bajaar kausu. His repertoire includes arias and songs from A. Kaldar, P. Tchaikovsky, G. F. Handel, J. Verdi, V. A. Mozart, S. Prokofiev and others. c. works of composers.

In 2019, he graduated from the Jāzeps Vītolas Academy of Music of Latvia, where he studied academic singing with the invited associate of the Latvian Academy of Culture. prof. Robert Hanson. Regularly participated in vocal art master classes with Alģirdas Janutas, Annikas Olinkari, Roberts Hymans and others. Also, the singer has attended master classes of the Alexander technique, led by prof. of the Luxembourg Conservatory. Patriks Krisatis, as well as lessons in stage movement taught by Marlene Smits, pedagogue of the Royal Danish Opera Academy.Edgars Ošleja has received the Grand Music Award 2021 in the Young Artist of the Year category. In 2021, Edgars Ošleja won the 1st place in the Inese Galante talents competition. In 2017, he made it to the semi-finals of the Antonina Kampi International Vocal Competition, and was ranked among the finalists at the Alīda Vānes International Vocal Competition.
