Spanish tenor Eduardo Aladrens upcoming engagements for the  2023/24 season with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Duisburg include several performances of Madama Butterfly in the role of Lieutenant PinkertonTurandot in the role of CalafTuriddu in Mascagni’s opera Cavalleria Rusticana. He will also have his debut in the role of OTELLO in Verdi’s homonymous opera, which he will perform at the Staatstheater Kassel. In addition to this, he will perform several concerts, such as the NRW Minister-President Konzert broadcasted by the NRW television channel in Germany, or his reunion with the Philharmonie Reutlingen with a Zarzuela and Opera

Recent projects include his debut in the role of Macduff in the opera Macbeth, his return to the role of Maurizo in the opera Adriana Lecouvreur and the oft-performed role of Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Additionally he will return to the Deutsche Nationaltheater Weimar with Radames (Aida) and will make his debut in the Oper Leipzig singing Alfredo (Traviata) and Lt. Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly). Further concerts with orchestra will be announced soon.

The 2021/22 season has brought his debut at the Teatro Real in Madrid, in the role of Ismaele in Nabucco, as well as his debut at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki as Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana. Aladrén also played Radamés in the new production of Aida at the Deutsche Nationaltheater Weimaras well as Don José (Carmen)Turiddu (Cavalleria) and Alfredo (Traviata) at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in DüsseldorfRodolfo (Boheme) at the Aalto Essen Theatre and Lt. Pinkerton (Butterfly)at the Opera de Freiburg.

Despite Covid’s dramatic conditions throughout the 2020/21 season, Aladrén made his debut as Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana at the Bergen Opera (Norway). He also made his debut at the Teatro Cervantes de Málaga with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga singing Puccini’s Messa di Gloria in December 2020

Eduardo Aladrén finished an intensive Season 2019/20 including his debut as Calaf at Festival Pucciniano de Torre del Lago (Italy) and the Latvian National Opera in Riga, his return to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein – Düsseldorf in the roles of  Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Alfredo in Traviata and Don Carlo. Outstanding also his debut with the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo with the role of Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly. Long awaited was also his debut as Rodolfo in the new production of  La Boheme at the Opera Duisburg (Germany). Concluded the season with several concerts with the Württembergischen Philharmonie Reutlingen in Tonhalle Zurich, among other venues.

Engagements along season 2018/19 included his return to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein –Düsseldorf in the roles of  Lt. Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly, Cavaradossi in Tosca, and Don Carlo. He also performed Lt. Pinkerton at the Latvian National Opera in Riga and the Teatro Principal of Palma de Mallorca (Spain). Aladrén also made his debut as the soloist tenor in  Verdi’s Requiem at the Opera Theater of Halle and later on at the Opera House in Bonn, both in Germany. Remarkable  was also his debut in the new production of Verdi’s opera Don Carlo at the St. Gallen Opera House  in Switzerland

His Season 2017/18 included his debut at the Opernhaus Düsseldorf in the roles of Lt. Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly and Cavaradossi in Tosca, several performances of Tosca at Opera Theater Halle and Staatstheater Braunschweig, his debut in the role of Mauricio in Adriana Lecouvreur, Don Carlo in the 5 Acts Verdi’s homonimous opera in Braunschweig, his debut in Norway with Tosca at Opera Bergen, several concerts with the  South Denmark Philharmonie,  his debut in concert at the Gasteig Philharmonie Hall in Munich, two opera galas at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, and his already traditional benefit tv-broadcasted concerts for UNICEF Germany.

Season 2016/17 included his debut in Italy at the Luglio Musicale Trapanese with the role of Radames in Verdi’s opera Aida, his return at the opened-air Neue Eutiner Festspiele as Don Jose in Bizet’s opera Carmen, his debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the role of Lt. Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, four different productions of Tosca at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Bühnen Halle, Staatstheater Braunschweig, and Staatstheater Cottbus, his debut at the Novaya Opera Theatre in Moscow with Tosca, the principal tenor, Jorge, in the spanish opera Marina at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, as well as several orchestra concerts at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach (USA), and with the Spanish Radio & Television Orchestra and Chorus in Madrid.

Outstanding engagements during last season 2015/16 include his debut in the role of Radames in Verdi’s opera Aida at the Neue Eutiner Festspiele in Germany, his debut in the role of Don Carlo in Verdi’s homonymous opera at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid, his debut in Asia at the New National Theater in Tokyo with Werther, his debut in concert with the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and Choir and his return for several concerts to the Adrianne Arhst Center (Miami) and the Kravis Center (West Palm Beach) in the USA.

Past engagements along season 2014/15 took him to his debut with the prestigious ABAO at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao first in the role of Gustavo in the zarzuela Los Gavilanes, and later in the role of Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, debut also with the Opera de Oviedo and the Teatro Jovellanos (Gijón; Spain)in both occasions one more in the role of Lt. Pinkerton,his return to the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid with the zarzuela Catalina, his debut in the role of Lenski in Eugene Onegin at the Gran Teatre de Palma de Mallorca, his debut at the Teatros del Canal (Madrid) with Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde”, a concert with the WDR Orchester (German Radio & TV Orchestra) in Cologne, as well his debut in concert with the Chicago Philharmonic at the Symphony Center in Chicago (USA) and the Ottawa Symphony at the National Arts Center in Ottawa (Canada), among others.

Season 2013/14 included his debut in the role of Andrea Chénier at the National Theater Szeged (Hungary). Other engagements also included Cavaradossi in Tosca at Theater Heidelberg, Alfredo in Traviata in Stadttheater Bremerhaven and several orchestra concerts in USA, including the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, and the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, just to mention two of them. This also was the season of his debut in Canada in concert with the Calgary Philharmonic at the Jack Singer Concert Hall in Calgary and with the Strauss Symphony of Canada at the Winspear Center in Edmonton.

Last season 2011/12 he performed Alfredo in “La Traviata” in Theater Nordhausen and Lt. Pinkerton in “Madama Butterfly” in Mecklenburgisches Staattheater Schwerin, both in Germany. He was called back at the Schwerin Schlossfestspiele 2012 for the role of Canio in Leoncavallo’s “I Pagliacci” in collaboration with the internationally well-known RONCALLI Circus.

Outstanding were also his „last minute jump-ins“ along the season as Pinkertonwith Opera Zuid (Netherlands), Cavaradossi at Stadttheater Bremen, and D. Jose at Potsdam-Berlin.

Past engagements along 2010/11 took him to his performances as “Luigi” in Puccini’s “Il Tabarro” in Bayreuth Stadthalle, “Alvaro” in Verdi’s “La Forza del Destino” in the Schwerin Schlossfestspiele, “Don Jose” in Bizet’s “Carmen” in the Festival Sommer 2010 Musik und Theater Saar, “Pinkerton” in Puccini’s “Madame Butterfly” in the Stadtteather Aachen and Cavaradossi in Puccini’s “Tosca” in the Stadttheater Bremerhaven, all of them in Germany.

He also performed along the season some concerts in the “Kurhaus Wiesbaden” with the prestigious “Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen (Ola Rudnerin)”in the “Stadthalle Heidelberg”, with the “Philharmonie Südwestfallen (Volker Christ)”, with the “Orchestra Musica Viva (Nicolas Hrudnik)“ in the Grosse Saal der Glocke in Bremen and with the “Symphony of the Americas (J. Brooks-Bruzzese)“ in USA.

Past performances along 2008/09 include “La Fanciulla del West” in Saint Bart’s Festival in the French West Caribbian Islands, the Soloist Tenor in the magnificent Gustav Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde” with the Bellas Artes Theater Symphony Orchestra in Mexico D.F. and Beethoven’s Mass in C Mayor and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria with the Palm Beach Symphony Orchestra in Florida (Usa).

Last December 08 took him to the Miami’s Adrianne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts as solist in a Zarzuela Orchestra Concert under the auspices of the Florida Concert Association as well as the soloist tenor and designer in the show “TUTTO PUCCINI” at the Colony Theatre in Miami Beach (FL) last March 09.

>Some other remarkable performances took him again in June 09 to the Miami Dade County Auditorium for an Antology of Cuban Zarzuela and to the Auditorium of Zaragoza (Spain) to perform Alfredo in La Traviata and an opera concert series tour in January / February 2010 with the prestigious Symphony of the Americas.

Last July 07, He made his debut in the Miami Dade-County Auditorium where he performed “Count Danilo” together with soprano Eglise Gutiérrez in the production of F. Lehár’s “The Merry Widow” and where he returned last April 2008 to perform the principal tenor (Rene) in Lehár’s “Der Graf von Luxemburg (The Count of Luxemburg)”.

Last April 2007, He completed his second season as a Resident Artist with the Palm Beach Opera where he performed more than 10 principal roles on the main stage in Aida, Tosca, Magic Flute, Pagliacci, Thaïs, Butterfly, etc…also including the title role in Werther and Nicias in Thaïs within the Palm Beach Opera’s “Opera in One Hour” series and Pinkerton in Palm Beach Opera’s Saturday matinee on the main stage. Cover contracts also included Cavaradossi in Tosca, Nicias in Thaïs and Pinkerton in Butterfly.

Mr. Aladrén was also a Young Artist with Utah Festival Opera 2005, where he stepped in on very short notice to perform the dress rehearsal as Reverend Parris in The Crucible. In 2004 he performed Alfred in Die Fledermaus for Bay View Summer Festival (Michigan) where he also was awarded First Prize in the Adrian Boyer Vocal Competition.

In 2005 Mr. Aladrén was first cast in the role of Rodolpho in the World College Premiere of William Bolcom’s A View from the Bridge at Bloomington School of Music (Indiana University) with the composer in attendance.

In the realm of oratorio, Mr. Aladrén sang the tenor solos in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in October 2004 in the Auditorium of Zaragoza (Spain) in its 25th Anniversary Commemoration which was broadcast to Europe, America and Asia through the Spanish International Channel. Later that year he performed the tenor solo in Ariel Ramirez’s Creole Mass at Freemason Hall (Indianapolis).

Between 1998 and 2000, Mr. Aladrén performed throughout Spain several leading Zarzuela roles with the Lyric Theater of Zaragoza and some other companies settled in Madrid. His debut at the renowned Teatro de la Zarzuela of Madrid took place in 2001 with the zarzuela “Pan y Toros” (Barbieri), under the baton of Maestro Josep Pons. These performances were followed shortly by his participation in the Escuela Superior de Canto’s production of La Traviata (Verdi). In November 2002, invited by the director of the Romea Theater of Murcia, Spain, Mr. Aladrén appeared as a soloist in several fully staged productions of Zarzuelas. Earlier that year he was selected by Madrid’s prestigious Friends of Opera Society to perform a solo recital under the auspices of its Young Artists Program.

Mr. Aladrén began studying voice at the Music Conservatory of Zaragoza. Concurrently, he pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering at the Universidad de Zaragoza, which he completed in 1998. From 2000-2003 Mr. Aladrén was a student at the “Escuela Superior de Canto” in Madrid. Mr. Aladrén also holds a Performance Diploma in Voice from the School of Music in Bloomington (Indiana University) where he was a student of soprano Virginia Zeani and baritone Andreas Poulimenos. In Europe, he continued to study privately under the tutelage of Italian baritone Enzo Spatola.
